OriginsThe Coteaux Bourguignons covers the same ground as that of the appellation for Burgundy. It covers 384 communes in the Yonne, Côte d’Or, Saône et Loire and Rhône départements. It begins in the Chablis and Auxerrois region in the north, stretching south to the Macon area through Côte d’Or and the Côte Chalonaise.
The Coteaux Bourguignons appellation exists for red, white and rosé wines. This appellation can be produced from a blend of different grapes. 3,000 hectares are reserved for red Coteaux Bourguignons.
Tasting notesColour: deep dark red.
Nose: nicely fruity with crispy cherry aromas.
Palate: the mouth offers a round and gourmet attack, with aromas of ripe fruits and a final on elegant and supple tannins.
Food and wine pairingThis wine is ideal with a plate of cured meats, pasta, smoked and plain ham, couscous, beef stew, grilled meats and cheese as French camembert or brie.
Serving suggestionsServe at around 14-15°C.
