The Chardonnay is the grape variety of the Meursault Premier Cru.
Starting from Beaune and then heading south, Meursault is the first of the three great white wine villages of the Côte de Beaune, in Burgundy.
Colour: golden yellow.
Nose: rich and powerful with hints of ripe grapes, honey. It is slightly woody because of its ageing in oak. A nice aromatic density with autumnal undertones.
Palate: in the mouth, it is a ripe and generous wine. The aromas are fruity and oaky at first, then give way to notes of roasted almonds. A mouthwatering acidity complements all the aromas and gives fullness and vivacity to this wine.
Serve and enjoy as an apéritif with foie gras on toast. It can also be paired with all seafood dishes, grilled or marinated fish, and cheeses such as the Vacherin.
Serve at a temperature of 14 °C.
