Grenache, Carignan and Cinsault.
The Ventoux vineyards cover a vast spread of 15,800 acres south east of the southern Côtes du Rhône appellations, from the foot of the Mont Ventoux in the Vaucluse department to the edge of the Lubéron in the Alpes de Haute-Provence.
The impressive Ventoux Mountain that dominates the region also regulates the climate, and the temperatures are somewhat cooler than on the plains of the southern Rhône.
