Production areaSaint-Romain is a village appellation in the Côte de Beaune. The area of appellation covers 97,16 ha of which 59,74 ha are white grapes and 37,42 ha are red. Though it is located at the foot of a high cliff, Saint-Romain sits high up. This was one of the first places where the Celts and Gallo-Romans planted vines in Burgundy.
OriginsThis vineyard is situated on a slope, taking advantage of its gentle incline and excellent soils. Within this marl and limestone terrain, clayey plots are particularly well suited to Chardonnay. The vines, aged between 40 and 50 years, face south to south-east, at altitudes ranging from approximately 280 to 400 meters.

Vinification and maturingThe grapes were hand-harvested on September 23, 2024, then carefully sorted to retain only the finest clusters. They were subsequently pressed in a pneumatic press, ensuring precise and gentle juice extraction while preserving the integrity of the fruit. Vinification took place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, followed by gravity transfer into oak barrels.
The wine was then aged for 9 months on fine lees, without bâtonnage, with approximately 40% in new barrels.
Bottling took place in July 2025, following fining and filtration.
