History
This wine is the newest Burgundy appellation, created in 2011, with a name that evokes a terroir and an expertise; a wine which allows consumers to gain access to high-quality Burgundy wines at an attractive price. It offers the wine-lover the joy of discovery, the pleasure of tasting and comparing and the opportunity to learn more about this famous region.
As Gaston Roupnel would say, this new Burgundy appellation will succeed "allowing the wine-loving world to drink the health of France! » Coteaux Bourguignons becomes the 101st appellation in Burgundy.
Grape variety
Vinification and maturing
According to both tradition and the laws governing Burgundy wine-making, the grapes are harvested manually and there is no de-stemming so as to preserve all the berries. The harvest is followed by «carbonic» maceration, which ultimately produces fruity, aromatic wines.
Wine and food pairing
To appreciate with all type of delicatessen, cold and cured meats, red meat and cheese but also exotic dishes such as coucous, chili con carne, fajitas and tajine.
Ageing potential
This wine is ready to drink now but can be kept for 2 to 3 years.
Serving temperature
Serve ideally at a temperature of 15-16°C. (59-61°F.),
