GRIGNAN-LES-ADHEMAR

Origins of the cuvée

Just like the Bonpas Charterhouse watched over the passage between Rome and Avignon since 1318, Garde-Adhémar has watched over the Rhône from its rocky outcrop since the 10th century.

Localisation

The first Grignan-les-Adhemar vines were planted in the 5th century BC. The region was developed by the Romans and became one of the richest wine growing center of medieval Gaulle, especially thanks to the Rhone River, efficient way of communication and transport.
The vines are situated on chalky slopes and stony soils

Grape varietals

Grenache, Syrah and Carignan

Vinification and maturing

The grape varieties are fermented together in tanks. Temperature of fermentation is regulated at 24°C. The oxygen and the extraction technique at this temperature provide balance and elegance. Ageing :  100% in stainless steel tanks to preserve the freshness of the aromas and a smooth tannic structure.

Tasting notes
