Tasting notes

Colour: Bright pale gold. 

Nose: Very floral (aromas of honeysuckle, acacia, hawthorn), with some notes of lemon grass and white peach.

Palate: A lively and fresh wine.

Food and wine pairing

Enjoy with dishes in sauce, such as veal marengo, steamed fish and even goat cheese.

Serving suggestions

Ideally served at a temperature between 11 and 13°C.

Ageing potential

Can be kept in a cellar for 5 years.

Origins

Viré-Clessé is a village appellation in the heart of the Mâconnais vineyards. Viré and Clessé are two villages in Southern Burgundy, between Tournus and Mâcon. The typicity of their wines being very close, a single appellation was created. The Viré-Clessé appellation covers about 400 hectares and produces exclusively white wines.

Vinification

Sorting of the grapes, pneumatic pressing then vinification in thermoregulated vats and maturing in stainless steel tanks for 6 to 8 months.
