GRENACHE GRIS IGP OC
MARINIÈRE Fortant Marinière

Origins of the cuvee

Our Maison Fortant Provence wines are the scintillating reflection of the blue Mediterranean way of life.

Terroir

The soils are clay-limestone, partly terraced. The climate is fresh in the vineyard of the Coastal terroir and important variations of temperature between day and night allows to maintain perfect balance in the wines.

Vinification

This Grenache Gris comes from a selection of parcels in the coastal region and is harvested at night at perfect maturity to preserve its integrity. Particular attention is paid to the pre-fermentation phase: careful destemming, progressive pressing with selection of dripping juices and first presses to promote pale & delicate color.
The fermentations are conducted at low temperature to promote the aromatic freshness and after a 3 months aging on fine lees with light sticks, the wines are tasted and for some selected and assembled to create the FORTANT style.

Winemaker's notes

The dress has a superb pink and bright pink color.
We continue on a very beautiful aromatic expression with delicate notes of red fruits, complex bouquet of raspberry, white fruits, and white flowers.
In the mouth the terroir is revealed, impression of freshness and balance, a beautiful length and a mineral finish, dynamic and characterful.
