OriginsThe Chiroubles appellation is located in the northern part of the Rhône department, at the heart of the village of the same name, itself surrounded by vineyards. This appellation expresses itself through floral and indulgent notes.
TerroirThe soil is highly diverse, ranging from granite to rich alluvial earth near the Saône plain. The “blue stone” of Brouilly is the hardest in Europe.
Vinification and maturingHand‑harvested Gamay Noir with white juice. The grapes are transferred by gravity into concrete vats. Whole‑cluster maceration lasts around ten days, including pump‑overs and rack‑and‑return operations, before pressing, in order to extract maximum structure and color. The wine is then aged on fine lees in vats.
