RULLY PREMIER CRU

Tasting notes

Color: Very beautiful pale gold color with light golden reflections, limpid and bright.

Nose: Delicate, fresh and expressive with notes of flowers (acacia) and citrus fruits, on a toasted background.

Palate: Round on the palate, structured wine, balanced on a beautiful freshness, a lot of aromatic richness (floral aromas mingle with notes of grilled almonds), very beautiful persistence and an elegant and floral finish.

Food and wine pairing

This wine is particularly good paired with fish (salmon, fine fish) and shellfish, cold cuts, white meats in light sauces, and fine cheeses.

Origins

The Rully vineyard is located not far from the magnificent vineyards of Puligny Montrachet and Meursault to the north, Mercurey and Givry to the south. The vineyard is very old, it was developed by the Dukes of Burgundy, and extends over hills of more than 200 meters high overlooking the Saône plain.

Vinification and maturing

The grapes were harvested by hand and immediately pressed at low pressure on a pneumatic press. Alcoholic fermentation on lees in barrels. Malolactic fermentation carried out at 100%. Ageing in oak barrels for 9 months (25% in new barrels).
