Origins

It is an emblematic village of the Côte de Nuits, to which it gives its name. The vineyard extends over 310 hectares of which 140 hectares are classified as Premier Cru, spread over the communes of Nuits-Saint-Georges and Prémeaux. Located south of the village of Nuits-Saint-Georges, the "Les Vaucrains" vineyard owes its name to its hilly relief which forms a sort of fissure in the hillside, "crain" meaning "fissure" in Burgundian local language.

Vinification & ageing

Manual harvest, passage of the grapes on sorting table, crushing, de-stemming then vatting for about 20 days then maturing in barrels for about 18 months.
