2023

Production area

The grapes were harvested from various cool-climate regions of France. Picked at night at perfect ripeness, they retain their freshness, brilliance, and aromatic intensity.

Grown on clay-limestone soils and shaped by strong temperature variations, Pinot Noir thrives in these ideal conditions to express the full richness and elegance of the varietal.

Origins

This range of easy-drinking wines, pays tribute to the great noble French varietals and especially to the roots of Ropiteau Frères.

Pinot Noir is one of the most delicate grape varieties to vinify. We sought a subtle balance between dark fruit aromas and perfectly integrated oaky notes.

Varietal

100% Pinot Noir

Tasting notes

COLOUR: Deep red with ruby highlights.
NOSE: Warm, with notes of morello cherry, red fruits, and gentle spices.
PALATE: The palate is generous and indulgent, with aromas of blackcurrant and licorice, supported by silky tannins. The long, elegant finish reveals hints of mint and subtle oak.

Vinification and maturing

The grapes were harvested mechanically to allow a 4-day cold pre-fermentation maceration, enhancing color intensity and fresh fruit aromas.
The different parcels were vinified separately with a long fermentation of at least three weeks, followed by a 7-day warm post-fermentation maceration to soften the tannins.
Aging continued for four months on fine lees: one-third of the cuvée was matured in oak to gain structure, while the rest was aged in stainless steel tanks to preserve freshness and fruit expression.
