Production area

Meursault is an appellation from the Côte de Beaune. The vineyards are located to the south of Beaune and cover a surface area of 395,84 hectares. Meursault is best known for its white wines which represent 95% of production.

Origins

The subsoil is mainly composed of clay and limestone. The grapes for this wine were harvested from different vineyards located both on the flatlands and on the slopes. The vines enjoy southern and south-eastern exposure.

Tasting notes

Color: Pale yellow.
Nose: An aromatic Meursault dominated by floral notes, without excessive richness.
Palate: A beautifully complex wine combining density and fullness, elegance and finesse.

Vinification and maturing

Hand-harvested early September 2023. Vinification and ageing in oak barrels, with 40% new barrels, with medium to high toasting. Fermentations started fairly quickly in vats, then slowed down in barrels. The wine is aged for 10 months on lees, with a few stirring of the lees, then in vats for 2 months. It is racked and blended in stainless steel tanks, with light fining and filtration before bottling in July 2024.

Lobster, crayfish, poultry or veal in cream sauce, foie gras and blue cheese.
